There isn't one way it's supposed to look.
At Mirnov Studios, boudoir photography is approached through the photographic style of Dmitri Mirnov – combining intentional lighting, posing, composition, and editorial influence to create photographs that feel intimate without losing the individuality of the person being photographed.

Your Direction
GUIDED. COLLABORATIVE. INTENTIONAL.
You don't need modeling experience or an extensive knowledge of posing.
I'll direct you throughout the shoot – from body position and expression to movement and interaction with the environment – while leaving enough room for photographs to develop naturally.
Some clients arrive knowing exactly what they want. Others simply know the feeling they're after.
Either works.

Your Session
FROM IDEA TO FINAL IMAGE

THE CONCEPT
Every session begins with a conversation.
We'll discuss the kind of photographs you're drawn to, wardrobe, mood, location, how revealing or conservative you'd like the imagery to be, and anything else that helps establish the direction of the shoot.
You can bring references, inspiration, or a fully developed concept – or we can develop the idea together.

THE SHOOT
During the session, I'll direct lighting, posing, expression, and movement while we work through the concept we've created.
Sessions can take place in private interiors, rental studios, outdoor environments, or other locations selected specifically for the photographs we're creating.
3.
THE FINAL PHOTOGRAPHS
After the shoot, the strongest images are selected and professionally finished in the signature Mirnov Studios editing style.
Retouching is intended to polish the photograph while maintaining the character and individuality of the person in front of the camera.

Is Boudoir For?
There doesn't need to be a special occasion.
Some people book boudoir photography to celebrate a milestone or create an intimate gift. Others want photographs from a particular moment in their lives. And some simply love the imagery and want to experience being photographed that way themselves.
You don't need a particular body type, age, personality, or level of confidence.
You just need to want the photographs.
What To Wear
FOR BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY
Wardrobe can completely change the direction of a photograph.
Lingerie and bodysuits are obvious options, but an oversized shirt, denim, jacket, dress, stockings, jewelry, heels, boots – or very little wardrobe at all – can create entirely different imagery.
Rather than following a formula, wardrobe should support the photographs we're trying to create.
