I'm Dmitri Mirnov, the photographer behind Mirnov Studios. I create glamour photography throughout Nashville and Middle Tennessee for women, models, and creators looking for imagery that feels polished, sensual, editorial, and distinctly their own.
Some sessions are elegant and beauty-driven.

WHAT IS
GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAPHY?
Glamour photography is a style of portraiture designed to emphasize beauty, confidence, styling, expression, and visual impact.
It shares elements with fashion, beauty, editorial, boudoir, and sensual photography, but glamour doesn't necessarily belong exclusively to any of them.
A glamour portrait might feature an elegant dress and polished beauty lighting.
It might be photographed in lingerie.
It could combine denim and bare skin.
It might feel like a magazine editorial.
Or it could push into more provocative territory.
What defines the photograph isn't how much or how little you're wearing.
It's the deliberate emphasis on you — your appearance, your presence, and the way you command the frame.
MODERN
GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAPHY
Glamour photography has evolved.

It doesn't have to mean heavily retouched skin, elaborate sets, exaggerated poses, or photographs that feel disconnected from the person in front of the camera.
My approach combines elements of modern portraiture, editorial photography, sensual imagery, and classic glamour, while allowing skin, texture, expression, and individuality to remain part of the photograph.
The goal isn't to manufacture a different person.
It's to take what's already visually compelling about you and photograph it deliberately.

LINGERIE
PHOTOGRAPHY
Lingerie has a natural place within glamour photography because it allows styling, body language, beauty, and sensuality to exist within the same frame.
But photographing lingerie well requires more than simply putting someone in lingerie and pointing a camera at them.
Fit, color, texture, body position, light, environment, and expression all change how the final image feels.
A lingerie photograph can be:
Elegant.
Playful.
Editorial.
Sensual.
Provocative.
Or deliberately understated.
The wardrobe gives us a starting point.
The photography determines the mood.
GLAMOUR VS.
SENSUAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Glamour and sensual photography overlap constantly, but they emphasize different things.
Glamour photography places greater emphasis on polished appearance, beauty, styling, posing, and visual impact.
Sensual photography places greater emphasis on intimacy, mood, body language, suggestion, and feeling.
A polished beauty portrait can be glamorous without being particularly sensual.
An intimate photograph beside a window can be deeply sensual without looking like traditional glamour photography.
And some of my favorite photographs are clearly both.
GLAMOUR VS.
BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY
Boudoir and glamour also share plenty of visual territory.
The biggest difference is that glamour isn't tied to the boudoir environment or experience.
A glamour photoshoot might happen in a bedroom, but it could just as easily take place against a seamless backdrop, inside a dramatic interior, outdoors, in a hotel, at a creative rental, or somewhere selected specifically for the concept.
Wardrobe can range from fully dressed fashion-inspired looks to lingerie, implied styling, or more revealing imagery.
That freedom makes glamour especially useful for clients and models who love the polished, sensual qualities associated with boudoir but don't necessarily identify with a traditional boudoir photoshoot.

I've photographed professional and agency-represented talent across glamour, beauty, editorial, lingerie, sensual, artistic, and commercial projects, including collaborations with nationally recognized models.

One reason glamour photography fits my work so naturally is its relationship with editorial photography.

I spent years developing a photographic style influenced by magazine imagery, beauty campaigns, cinematic portraiture, and professional model photography.
That influence carries into how I approach:
Lighting.
Composition.
Movement.
Expression.
Color.
Retouching.
Even when we're creating something intimate or provocative, I still want the photograph to feel constructed with intention rather than merely captured.
RETOUCHING
WITHOUT ERASING YOU
Retouching is an important part of polished glamour photography.
It's also very easy to overdo.
My approach is intended to refine the photograph without removing everything that makes a person look human.
That can include adjustments to:
• Color and tone
• Skin distractions
• Lighting balance
• Contrast
• Composition
• Temporary imperfections
• Overall image polish
The objective is not plastic skin or an entirely different body.
The finished photograph should still look like you — photographed exceptionally well.

I'm based in Middle Tennessee and create glamour photography throughout Nashville, Franklin, Williamson County, and surrounding areas.
Mirnov Studios operates on location, allowing us to choose an environment according to the photographs we're creating.

• Other distinctive locations

Glamour doesn't have to be the endpoint.
Some sessions naturally move between glamour, sensual photography, lingerie, implied imagery, artistic nude photography, and more provocative concepts.
Those boundaries can be discussed beforehand or explored gradually during the session.
You determine what you're comfortable creating.
My job is to make each progression feel visually intentional.

– DO I NEED MODELING EXPERIENCE?
No. I provide direction throughout the shoot, including posing, hands, expression, movement, posture, and interaction with the environment.
– WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR A GLAMOUR PHOTOSHOOT?
That depends entirely on the concept. Options can include dresses, fashion pieces, denim, bodysuits, lingerie, swimwear, jackets, heels, boots, implied styling, or combinations of several looks.
– IS GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAPHY THE SAME AS BOUDOIR?
No. There can be significant overlap, particularly with lingerie photography, but glamour photography isn't tied to bedroom environments or traditional boudoir conventions.
– CAN MY GLAMOUR SESSION BE SENSUAL?
Absolutely. Glamour and sensual photography work extremely well together and frequently overlap in my portfolio.
– CAN WE CREATE IMPLIED OR NUDE IMAGES?
Yes. If you'd like to incorporate implied or artistic nude imagery, we can discuss those concepts and boundaries during planning.
– DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH PROFESSIONAL MODELS?
Yes. I've worked extensively with professional and agency-represented models across glamour, beauty, editorial, commercial, sensual, and artistic photography.
– WHERE DO GLAMOUR PHOTOSHOOTS TAKE PLACE?
Sessions can take place in suitable private residences, approved hotels or rentals, rented studios, creative spaces, outdoor environments, or other locations developed around the concept.
– HOW MUCH DOES A GLAMOUR PHOTOSHOOT COST?
Projects are individually quoted according to the concept, session length, location, production requirements, and final deliverables.
