EROTIC PHOTOGRAPHY
DESIRE. TENSION. EXPRESSION.
Erotic photography explores something other forms of portraiture often deliberately avoid:
sexuality.
Not simply nudity. Not simply lingerie. And not simply showing more skin.
Erotic imagery is built around desire, attraction, tension, confidence, vulnerability, body language, and the energy created between the subject and the camera.
I'm Dmitri Mirnov, the photographer behind Mirnov Studios. I create erotic photography throughout Nashville and Middle Tennessee for adult clients, models, and creators looking for imagery that can move beyond traditional portraiture into something more intimate, provocative, and unapologetically expressive.
Sometimes it's subtle.
Sometimes it isn't.
The important part is that the photograph feels intentional.

WHAT IS
EROTIC PHOTOGRAPHY?
Erotic photography is imagery in which sexuality, attraction, desire, or provocation becomes an intentional part of the photograph.
That doesn't mean every erotic photograph needs to be nude.
A fully dressed portrait can carry enormous sexual tension.
An implied photograph may reveal almost nothing.
A lingerie image might depend more on expression than wardrobe.
And a nude photograph isn't necessarily erotic at all.
What separates erotic photography from neighboring genres is therefore less about how much the photograph shows and more about what the photograph is trying to communicate.
MORE THAN
NUDITY
One of the biggest misconceptions about erotic photography is that showing more automatically makes an image more erotic.
It doesn't.
Eroticism can come from:
Expression.
Body language.
Eye contact.
Movement.
Wardrobe.
Light and shadow.
Suggestion.
Confidence.
What the composition deliberately conceals.
Sometimes restraint creates considerably more tension than revelation.
That's why I approach erotic photography as a photographic style rather than simply a level of undress.
EROTIC
WITHOUT THE FORMULA
There isn't one visual definition of erotic photography.
Depending on the person and concept, a session might feel:
A session can remain within one aesthetic or move between several.
The concept determines the photographs – not the label.

SENSUAL & INTIMATE
Soft light, subtle movement, close compositions, natural expression, and imagery driven by atmosphere.
DARK & CINEMATIC
Deep shadows, dramatic light, rich tones, and stronger visual tension.
GLAMOROUS
Polished styling, lingerie, confident posing, beauty-driven lighting, and imagery influenced by classic glamour.
IMPLIED & SUGGESTIVE
Careful framing, body position, fabric, shadows, and composition that allow imagination to run wild.
BOLD & PROVOCATIVE
More daring styling, stronger attitude, and imagery designed to push beyond conventional portraiture.

SENSUAL VS.
EROTIC PHOTOGRAPHY
Sensual and erotic photography overlap frequently, but I consider their intentions different.
Sensual photography is generally driven by intimacy, atmosphere, physical presence, beauty, movement, and suggestion.
Erotic photography places sexuality and desire more deliberately within the visual language of the image.
A photograph can be sensual without being erotic.
It can be erotic without containing nudity.
And it can easily be both.
If you're looking for something more focused on intimacy and suggestion, explore my approach to sensual portraiture.
ARTISTIC NUDE VS.
EROTIC PHOTOGRAPHY
Nudity itself doesn't determine whether a photograph is erotic.
In artistic nude photography, the human figure is often approached through form, line, composition, light, movement, and shape.
Erotic photography places greater emphasis on sexuality, attraction, tension, and provocative expression.
That means a fully nude figure study can feel almost entirely non-erotic, while a completely clothed portrait can carry unmistakable erotic energy.
Some photographs deliberately exist somewhere between the two.

GLAMOUR, LINGERIE &
EROTIC PORTRAITURE
Erotic photography also shares considerable territory with glamour and lingerie photography.
Glamour brings polish.
Lingerie introduces styling and suggestion.
Erotic portraiture can take those elements and introduce stronger tension, attitude, intimacy, or sexuality.
For some sessions, we may begin with polished glamour imagery and gradually move toward more sensual or provocative concepts.
That progression can create a surprisingly diverse gallery while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

YOUR BOUNDARIES ARE PART
OF THE CONCEPT
Erotic photography requires clear communication.
Before a session, we'll discuss what you're interested in creating, what you're comfortable showing, what you don't want photographed, and where your boundaries are.
Those boundaries aren't an obstacle to the creative process.
They're part of it.
A session can remain fully clothed.
It can incorporate lingerie.
It can explore implied imagery.
It can include artistic nudity.
Or it can move between different levels of styling throughout the shoot.
There is no requirement to push further simply because the photographs are described as erotic.
The objective is to create imagery that feels bold without losing control of what you're creating.

PRIVACY &
DISCRETION
Being photographed does not automatically mean agreeing to have those photographs published.
Private client imagery remains private unless permission has been granted for portfolio, promotional, publication, or other public use.
For models, creators, collaborations, or commissioned productions where images are intended for publication or commercial use, those expectations can be established before the shoot.
If discretion is important, we'll build that into the project from the beginning.

FOR MODELS &
CONTENT CREATORS
Erotic photography can also be created specifically for professional models and adult content creators who need high-quality imagery for their brand.
Depending on the project, we can produce photographs for:
• Portfolios
• Social media promotion
• Subscription platforms
• Promotional campaigns
• Teaser imagery
• Premium collections
• Personal websites
• Editorial or artistic projects
Productions can combine glamour, lingerie, sensual, implied, artistic, and erotic imagery to create a broader library of material from a single shoot.
Select projects can also incorporate short-form promotional video.
EROTIC PHOTOGRAPHY
IN NASHVILLE
I'm based in Middle Tennessee and available for erotic photography projects throughout Nashville, Franklin, Williamson County, and surrounding areas.
Mirnov Studios operates on location, allowing the environment to be selected around the concept and privacy requirements.
Depending on the project, sessions may take place in suitable private residences, approved hotels or rental properties, rented photography studios, creative spaces, or other locations appropriate to the imagery.
I'm also available for select destination projects throughout the United States and internationally.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER
THE SHOOT
The final images receive professional color work and retouching consistent with the Mirnov Studios aesthetic.
My approach is to refine rather than completely reconstruct.
That means maintaining natural texture and recognizable features while giving the finished photographs the polish, tone, contrast, and atmosphere appropriate to the concept.
Final deliverables are determined according to the project rather than a fixed package.
FAQs
– DO I HAVE TO BE NUDE?
No. Erotic photography is defined more by intent, mood, body language, and sexuality than by nudity. Sessions can range from fully clothed portraits to lingerie, implied, artistic nude, or other agreed concepts.
– DO I NEED MODELING EXPERIENCE?
No. I'll provide direction throughout the shoot for posing, movement, expression, hands, body position, and interaction with the environment.
– WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EROTIC AND SENSUAL PHOTOGRAPHY?
Sensual photography generally emphasizes intimacy, mood beauty, and suggestion. Erotic photography places sexuality, desire, and provocation more deliberately at the center of the image.
– CAN WE CREATE IMPLIED IMAGES?
Absolutely. Implied photography can be particularly effective within erotic imagery because suggestion and concealment can create visual tension without requiring full nudity.
– CAN MY SESSION INCLUDE GLAMOUR AND SENSUAL PHOTOGRAPHS TOO?
Yes. These styles overlap naturally, and a single session can move between glamour, sensual, implied, artistic, and more provocative imagery.
– ARE MY PHOTOGRAPHS PRIVATE?
Client images are treated as private unless permission has been granted for public use. Any intended portfolio, promotional, collaborative, or commercial usage should be established separately.
– DO YOU WORK WITH CONTENT CREATORS?
Yes. Creator productions can incorporate professional photography and select short-form video for portfolios, promotion, subscription platforms, and other content needs.
– WHERE DO EROTIC PHOTOSHOOTS TAKE PLACE?
Sessions can be created at suitable private residences, approved hotels or rentals, rented studios, creative spaces, or other locations appropriate to the concept.
– HOW MUCH DOES AN EROTIC PHOTOSHOOT COST?
Projects are individually quoted according to the concept, session length, location, production requirements, and final deliverables.
